Hi, I’m Corinne Barranco - a registered nurse, wellness advocate, and the founder of YES – Your Essential Shot™.
Proudly born and raised in Florida, I live life with a big heart and a bigger purpose: to help people feel their best and make a lasting, positive impact.
From the very start of my nursing career, I believed that true healing begins long before prescriptions ever enter the picture. I know — not something you’d expect to hear from a nurse.
While modern medicine is essential, I’ve always viewed it as “sick care” instead of “health care.” Real health begins with prevention - nourishing the body, mind, and soul so illness doesn’t have a chance to take root. And even if you already have a prescription bottle with your name on it - it's ok. Me too.
It’s never too late to rebuild, restore, and begin again.
The Turning Point
When the world shut down during COVID, I entered a season of prayer and fasting, and began researching immune-supporting nutrients to help protect my patients and myself.
What I discovered truly shocked me.
Supplements are full of:
❌ Low-quality ingredients
❌ Inactive forms that our bodies can’t absorb
❌ Sugars, gums, fillers, and artificial additives
— all hidden behind clever marketing and misleading labels.
I honestly felt betrayed. How could this be what the wellness industry was offering?
That moment shifted everything. I felt a divine calling on my heart to create the solution I couldn’t find. Something genuinely clean. Truly effective. Effortlessly convenient. Something that will bring integrity back into the wellness industry.
I had a brief moment of, “Really? Me? A nurse with no business background? But the answer was clear - and I said, “Ok! YES. Let’s do it!”
That was the moment Your Essential Shot™ was born!
The Journey
I spent over a year researching the most bioavailable, functional forms of essential vitamins and minerals - crafting a formula to deliver real results you could feel.
So why a multivitamin - what about getting our nutrients from food?
As someone who eats 100% gluten free and as clean and organic as possible - I still felt like I had to fight every day to show up as the best version of me - vibrant, clear headed, and ready to tackle what the day brings.
I used to joke that I was the queen of the brain fog and always felt tired - but truthfully, it wasn’t funny. It was frustrating.
I had shelves full of bottles and powders - taking over 30 supplements a day and still felt nothing. Thousands of dollars. Draining routines.
Zero impact.
I’ve tried countless detoxes, fasts, programs from holistic and conventional practices, plus multiple labs and imaging screens - but nothing could ever explain why I had the symptoms I did, and why nothing made me feel better.
That’s when I realized: it’s not our bodies that are failing - it’s the system.
Imagine all the potential each day would bring if we were actually given high-quality, effective products?!
Instead we’ve been taught to accept supplements that don’t absorb, flavors that taste awful, and routines that exhaust us.
I’m grateful to my background in healthcare, providing a strong foundation and understanding for what is acceptable and best for our bodies- and respectfully, what is not. I couldn’t wait to formulate a new standard and make everyone that is a part of the YES family feel their best every day.
I needed liquid so our efforts are actually rewarded with positive effects - fast, and I needed convenience.
If I had to scoop powders, refrigerate jugs, or mix messy packets — it wasn’t going to happen. As someone who travels often for work, ready-to-drink was the only realistic solution. Oh!- and don’t get me started on taste. Maybe you enjoy the flavor of cough syrup - but I’ll pass!
Wellness and nutrition should be enjoyable - and enjoyable to me is deliciously refreshing, and impactful.
The Hard Road to YES
Bringing this vision to life wasn’t easy though.
I was told over 100 times:
- “That’s not possible.”
- “We don’t have the machines for that.”
- "That’s never been done before.”
Labs tried to alter my formula- requesting to add preservatives, calorie filled additives, and accessible forms to make it “easier” and “cheaper.”
But compromising wasn’t an option. I kept my faith strong and pressed forward.
Mid 2022, I finally found a lab that said yes to YES. I felt like I called every lab in America and I was so grateful and excited to move forward, but unfortunately after a few months of working together, I learned that this lab was not the right team to join our journey, and back to the drawing board I went.
The industry was absolutely dominated by “the big players” and if I came across a lab that had the rare equipment YES needed, they were completely uninterested in helping a startup.
Little did they know, that is fuel to my fire, and my determination only grew stronger.
After about 77 labs later, I finally found a team in California who believed in clean formulation, precision, and innovation- without shortcuts. Amen.
When I held the first sample in my hand, I cried.
It worked. In June 2022, I felt energized, clear, and truly alive! I experienced what I can best describe as an elevated sense of wellbeing from YES and felt like I was ready to tackle anything. Functionally- I did it!
But there was one last challenge here - the taste.
Raw, bioavailable minerals are notoriously bitter - far from the chewable vitamins we remember as kids. Creating something that tasted refreshing while staying 100% clean took many rounds of formulation - but after two years of feedback, tweaks, and even a trip to California from Florida - we perfected it!
I excitedly shared samples with friends, family, and colleagues and had nothing but positive feedback that matched my level of excitement for this product as well - talk about a phenomenal feeling!
With our batch sheet in hand, I was ready for mass production and to let the world experience the YES difference. Surely our formulation lab will have the perfect manufacturer for us in mind, right?! Not right.
But it’s ok -I’ve been here before. Time to reach out to all the labs across America again and see who our perfect fit will be.
In this process I quickly learned my next lesson: When you manufacture a small daily serving, the MOQ (minimum order quantity) and costs associated are massive. Small batches are not a thing. Not in America, not for my stacked formula.
After many more “no’s”, I was blessed to find a lab that is able to offer “start up” MOQs and fulfill our size and batching capabilities.
The journey of getting to this point- as trying and testing as it was - has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve poured my heart, soul, and more into YES. Now I sit here writing this today, excited to open and share this journey with you. Together, we can bring this incredible product, and this divinely led passion and calling, to market.
I’ve learned so much along the way. For starters, as a healthcare professional, the business world has been filled with new jargon, abbreviations, and honestly an entirely different energy for me to fully grasp and comprehend. No one in my family is a business owner and I had no idea what being a founder looked like.
I have read countless books, listened to as many podcasts as I can, and I even joined a workspace community called 1909 to surround myself with an amazing community of likeminded individuals and mentors - all while working full time to support myself and YES to this point.
This has primarily been a self-funded journey for me, with some very grateful family help, and budgeting, sacrificing and hard lessons have been a joyful part I will always give grace to being able to do.
Through all the challenges and starting from scratch, I’ve never faltered in my vision for YES - I believe in this product and brand with my whole being.
